Albion Farm Shop are proud to announce that we have won two GOLD AWARDS!

BPEX Gold Award Dry Cured BaconThis year we decided it was time to enter some competitions, especially with our new shop soon to open. We had a good think and decided that even though we have lots of interesting and unique flavours, a truley great sausage is one that doesn’t need any gloryfications and still tastes superb. So on that note, we decided it would be our bog standard ‘Old English Pork’  that got the entry.

To our delight we were awarded with a GOLD AWARD!

Now, we also decided that we wouldn’t mind a go at making our own Dry Cured Back Bacon. At the moment we sell McKenzies which is delicious and they have their own Smoke house which we believe to be the best way to do smoked Bacon. But why not try our own Dry Cured back Bacon? So BPEX Gold Award Dry Cured Baconour butcher, Dean, has been experimenting in the hope of using our own Dry cured Bacon in the new Shop when it opens. He decided that before anything went to the public he would enter it into the same competition to see if it could compete with the best. Guess what? 

We were awarded with another GOLD AWARD!
So now you can say that you’re eating meat that is truely GOLD standard.
