On December 19th Albion Farm once again joined together with the world famous Fairey Band for a highly spirited Christmas Bavarian.
After such a great success in August with their Summer Bavarian, many people were asking to have one in December so we could have a 'Christmas Bavarian'. The main worry at the time was the heating, little did we know the snow would arrive earlier than usual and in full force. The toilets we had hired managed to freeze on their journey over so panic stricken we set our heaters on them which eventually did just the trick! With our industrial heaters blasting away, the snow started to fall thick and fast.
The Snow did unfortunately cause a few problems, but pretty much everyone made it at some point in the evening. At 8pm things were looking a bit bleak, the starting time was held back by half an hour and sure enough people started arriving in droves either by foot, four wheel drive or a very kind friends four wheel drive. Some walked from as far as Uppermill in the snow! We really must thank all of our customers who made that extra effort to attend and make our night extra enjoyable, and also to the Fairey Band who themselves had a few casualties due to nightmare snow traffic in Oldham. The main man himself, Stan Lippeatt, came all the way over from Sherwood Forest then back again so he really does receive the award for extra effort!
The evening itself was yet again highly entertaining with lots of Bavarian and Christmas music being played and lots of fun and games taking place, all accompanied by delicious Hog Roast Sandwiches, mulled wine and Mince pies. Everyone was indeed entering in to the spirit of things and having a very merry time. By the end of the evening the snow had been practically forgotten and people were walking off into the distance arm in arm sounding rather jolly and festive.

From all at Albion Farm HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010.
