Summer Festival - Whit Friday Weekend

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our lovely suppliers who attended our Summer Food Festival which took place on the 10th and 11th of June, the weekend of Whit Friday. It was a huge success as always and the rain on Saturday didn’t discourage anyone from being part of the fun!

There were endless samples including Cake, Cheese, Pies, Pates, Sauces, Beer and of course, Gin! A special thank you must go to Kirsten from Mason’s Gin who made it her mission to encourage people into our food tent with the temptation of Gin. Not only is she full of expertise but she is always willing to start the party early, and definitely made full use of the fact it was also World Gin Day on one of our dates.

It takes months of planning to host our festivals, but they really are mine and Holly’s favourite part of the year. It is really wonderful to bring all of our suppliers together and showcase their fabulous produce. It is our way of thanking our customers for their continued support and a fun way to get to know our producers all the more better.

Over the festival weekend we had Butchery specials including homemade Cumberland Sausage rings, BBQ packs and lots of speciality sausages. Limited edition Milkshakes were offered in the Cafe, including a Berry Eton Mess, and a specials board full with homemade items.

Overall it was a fantastic weekend and we are delighted to announce we will be planning to do the same for next year.
